My dog does wonders for me, too. Gets me up, keeps me balanced. He has to eat, pee, pop, sleep, get affection regularly. Not so different from me, from most of us.

I want to thank my dog. She's great. A zen master, I realize, with her simple ability to focus, unerringly, in the moment. On a toy, a game of fetch, her food, and even me. Occasionally, I could swear she's even meditating. Focus and simplicity. I'm grateful for the example and for how much love she inspires in me.
